How to create Ether wallet using MyEtherWallet?

How to create Ether wallet using MyEtherWallet is a free, open-source, client-side interface for generating Ethereum wallets & interacting with the blockchain easily & securely.

Note: Keep in mind that OFC are visible on ERC20 supporting Ethereum wallets, so we recommend using MyEtherWallet, Mist or Metamask.

Step 1. Visit MyEtherWallet, enter a strong password and generate a wallet clicking on Create New Wallet button. IMPORTANT: create a password that you will not forget — it will be impossible to restore it!

Step 2. Click "Download Keystore File (UTC / JSON)" and save it on your device. Keep this file in a safe place, preferably on an external storage, and also make a backup copy. After that click "I understand. Continue"

Step 3. Store your Private Key. It is recommended to print this key and store it in a safe place. Then click "Save Your Address".

Step 4. After that you will be able to access to your wallet. To do this you can:

a. Select the option "Keystore File (UTC / JSON)", specify the path to the encrypted file (from step 2) and enter the password created in step 1. If everything is correct, you will be redirected to your wallet’s main screen, you will see its address and balance.

b. Select Private Key. Here you will have to enter your unencrypted private address and password will not be required. This is a dangerous and unprotected way, we do not recommend using it! This key must be stored in a secure offline storage and used only as a last resort.

After you have set up a wallet, in order to buy ETH on exchanges and markets you just need to specify your wallet number and make a purchase. The purchased amount of Ether will be transferred to your wallet.
